What Other F Code Means
Maytag publishes a catch-all entry for cooktop F codes that are not individually listed, attributing them to a possible problem with the user interface touchpad, the cooktop power control board, or the associated wiring. It is a genuine part of the documentation rather than a gap in it, and it is recorded here as such.

If the code returns, write down the exact characters shown - an unlisted code still identifies itself to a technician with the service documentation, and getting the characters right matters more than knowing what they mean. Note also which zones work, whether the panel responds, and whether the code appears at power-up or during cooking.
