Microwave calls divide cleanly into the half we treat as routine and the half we treat as hazardous. Routine: the turntable motor and coupler, the door latch assembly and its interlock switches, the extractor fan motor, the lamps, the touch panel and the mounting hardware on an over-the-range installation. Hazardous: everything on the high-voltage side that actually generates the heat.
We are direct about that split because it decides what we will talk a customer through and what we will not. A unit that runs without heating is never a do-it-yourself repair, whatever a video suggests, and an over-the-range microwave is heavy and mounted overhead, which makes removal a two-person job with the circuit already isolated. If a repair is not economic against the price of the model, we say so rather than quoting it.

Why Trust Us With Your Maytag Microwave
- Measured, Not Guessed | The suspect microwave component goes on a meter and is shown to have failed before we recommend replacing it.
- Common microwave Parts Aboard | The parts that fail most often travel with the technician; anything rarer is ordered on the spot and the return visit booked before we leave.
- Isolated Before Anything Opens | The supply to your microwave - power, water or gas - is shut off and proven dead before a panel moves, and high-voltage and sealed-system circuits stay with the technician.
- Coverage Checked First | Where your microwave looks like it may still sit inside manufacturer coverage we flag it before quoting, because work by anyone other than an authorized technician can put that coverage at risk.
