What FC E7 Means
FC E7 states simply that the appliance did not connect to your router. Maytag gives a one-minute power cycle at the circuit breaker followed by starting a cycle. It sits with the other FC codes as a connectivity message rather than an appliance fault.
Common Causes of FC E7
- Router offline or rebooting
- Poor signal at the appliance position
- Credentials changed since setup
- Wireless module fault
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Confirm your home network is actually working by opening a web page on a phone standing where the microwave is - that tests signal strength at the appliance rather than at your desk, which is the measurement that matters. Restart the router, then power the microwave down at the breaker for one minute and back up. Re-pair through the app if you use it. Heating is unaffected throughout.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- None for the network steps. The module itself is inside a cabinet that is never opened at home.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
