What F01 or F02 Means
F01 and F02 appear in Maytag commercial dryer documentation with the same reset-and-monitor instruction as the rest of that set, and without a published cause. They are noted here as commercial-platform codes so they are not confused with the domestic F-code scheme.
Common Causes of F01 or F02
- Transient control fault cleared by a reset
- Loose connector inside the control
- Supply voltage disturbance
- Control board failing
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
On an owned machine, isolate it at the breaker for a minute, restore power and run a timed cycle. On a machine in a shared laundry, report it. Either way, note whether the drum turned, whether it heated, and how far into the cycle the code appeared, because those observations are what make a code with no published meaning diagnosable.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Commercial dryers are gas-fired and hard-wired in most installations, so isolation is not simply unplugging.
