What F03, F13, F22 or F0E4 Means
Maytag publishes an identical meaning for each of these electric cooktop codes: an internal communication error on the touch control module. They are grouped here rather than split into four near-identical entries, because the documentation gives them one cause and one answer.
Common Causes of F03, F13, F22 or F0E4
- Transient internal fault cleared by a power reset
- Touch control module failing
- Supply voltage disturbance
- Heat stress on the module under the worktop
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Isolate the cooktop at the breaker for a minute, restore power and test an element on low. An internal error in the touch control module that survives a reset means the module itself needs testing - there is no adjustment, cleaning or setting behind these codes. Note which of the four appeared, as the number still helps the technician even though the published meaning is shared.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The module is under the glass on a high-current circuit and the cooktop must be isolated and lifted to reach it.
