What F1E7 or F1E9 Means
Maytag publishes both F1E7 and F1E9 with the same attribution: there may be a problem with the cooktop control or the associated wiring. No separate cause is given for each, so they are documented here as one control-side fault.

- Transient control fault cleared by a reset

Reset by switching the cooktop off at its breaker for a minute, then restore power and test an element on low.
