What F2E1 Means
F2E1 is the stuck-key code. The control has seen one of the touch keys reading as pressed continuously, which it cannot tell apart from someone leaning on the panel, so it stops rather than acting on a phantom command.
Common Causes of F2E1
- Detergent, water or grease on the touch panel
- An object resting against the control panel
- Moisture behind the panel in a humid laundry room
- User interface or keypad board failed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Wipe the whole control panel with a barely damp cloth and dry it thoroughly. Spilled detergent, a splash of fabric softener or a film of kitchen grease across the keys is enough to hold one reading as pressed. Check nothing is resting against the panel - a laundry basket pushed up against the machine is a common culprit. Then unplug for five minutes and restart. If one particular key is unresponsive or the code returns immediately on a clean dry panel, the touch panel or the interface board has failed.

- The panel should be cleaned with a damp cloth only; spraying cleaner at it drives liquid into the electronics behind.
