What Cycle Complete or Done Means
Cycle Complete, shown as Done on some panels, confirms the wash has finished. Maytag notes the light stays lit until the lid is opened or Cancel is pressed. It is a status indicator with nothing to diagnose.
Common Causes of Cycle Complete or Done
- Cycle finished normally
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Open the lid and unload. Maytag recommends removing the load promptly for best results, and there is a practical reason beyond creasing: a wet load left sitting in a closed drum is the fastest way to give both the laundry and the machine a musty smell. On a front-load washer, wipe the door seal and leave the door ajar so the boot can dry.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- None - this is a status light.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
