What F2 E0, F2 E2, F2 E3, F2 E4, F2 E5 or F2 E6 Means

This group is published as a possible problem with the user interface or keypad, the control, or the associated wiring. On a wall oven the console usually runs across the top of the appliance or between the two cavities, directly above a door that vents hot air every time it opens.

Common Causes of F2 E0, F2 E2, F2 E3, F2 E4, F2 E5 or F2 E6

  • Grease and heat damage to the keypad over time
  • Keypad ribbon connector loose
  • Keypad failed
  • Control board failed
  • Wiring between them damaged

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try

Clean the console with a cloth wrung out in warm soapy water and dry it thoroughly. Press Cancel to clear the code, switch the oven off at its breaker for a minute, restore power, and start a bake cycle to see whether the code returns. Then press each key and note which respond. Wall oven consoles take a lot of heat from the door vent below them, so a keypad that has become unreliable after years of use is a common and entirely ordinary failure rather than a sign of anything unusual.

⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That

  • A wall oven is built into cabinetry and hard-wired, so it has to be unfastened and drawn out of its housing by a technician before anything inside can be reached.
  • Never spray cleaner at the console; liquid behind it reaches the electronics.

Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
