What F47 Means
F47 is published as a possible problem with the cooktop power control board, the user interface touchpad, or the associated wiring. It names the same pair of parts as F40, in the opposite order, and is diagnosed the same way.
Common Causes of F47
- Transient fault cleared by a reset
- Harness between touchpad and board loose
- Touchpad failed
- Power control board failed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Reset at the breaker for a minute, restore power and test a zone on low. If the code returns, gather two observations before booking: whether the touch keys respond and beep, and whether any zone produces heat at all. A cooktop with a live panel and no heat and one with a dead panel are different repairs even though they share a code. Nothing behind either named part is owner-serviceable.
