What Detergent Low Means

- Bulk detergent reservoir low or empty
- Wrong detergent type thickening in the reservoir

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Refill the bulk dispenser with High Efficiency liquid detergent only. Maytag is specific that the bulk reservoir is for HE liquid, not powder and not single-dose pods, because thicker or solid products block the siphon. Wipe the filler area afterwards so dried detergent does not build up around the cap. If the message stays after a refill, the level sensor in the dispenser is misreading, which is a service item.
