Common Causes of F3E5
- Film from fabric softener on the sensor strips

- Control board not reading the sensor
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Clean the metal sensor strips inside the drum with a cloth and a little rubbing alcohol, then dry them. Run an automatic cycle with a properly damp load - testing with one dry towel gives the sensor nothing to read and can produce the same code again. Use timed cycles in the meantime; they ignore the sensor entirely. If cleaning does not clear it, the sensor or its wiring needs checking.
