What FC E1 Means
FC E1 belongs to the connected-appliance family. Codes starting FC concern the network side of the dryer rather than drying, so the machine normally continues to run cycles perfectly well while one is displayed.
Common Causes of FC E1
- Router offline or restarting
- Dryer at the edge of wireless coverage
- Network credentials changed since pairing
- Communication module or interface board fault
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Restart the home router and let it come fully back up, then remove power from the dryer for five minutes. If you use the app, run the pairing process again afterwards. If you do not use the connected features at all, this code can be left alone - it has no effect on heat, airflow or the drum. A connectivity code that persists on a healthy network points at the communication module inside the machine.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- None - restarting a router and re-pairing an app is ordinary use.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
