Maytag approaches F8E4 by asking whether the dishwasher was newly installed, whether you can see water, and whether the water supply is connected correctly. That framing tells you what the code is about: water has been detected where the machine did not expect it, and on a recent installation the connections themselves are the first suspect.

Look under and around the dishwasher for water, and at the supply connection under the sink.
