What F03, F04 or F06 Means

These legacy codes are published as a possible problem with the electronic oven control or the associated wiring. On a wall oven the control sits behind the console at the top or between the cavities on a double oven, where it runs warm and works hard.

Common Causes of F03, F04 or F06

  • Transient control fault cleared by a reset
  • Control connector loose
  • Wiring in the cabinet space damaged
  • Electronic oven control failed
  • Heat stress on the board over years of use

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try

Press Cancel to clear the code, switch the oven off at its breaker for a minute, restore power, and start a bake cycle to see whether the code returns. On a double wall oven, test both cavities separately and note whether one or both are affected - a fault confined to one cavity often points at that cavity's wiring or relay rather than at a shared board, and it is the most useful single observation you can make on a double oven. Note also whether the clock and display continue working normally while the oven refuses to heat.

⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That

  • A wall oven is built into cabinetry and hard-wired, so it has to be unfastened and drawn out of its housing by a technician before anything inside can be reached.

Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
