What Call Service or Press Cancel to Reset Means
Maytag documents these two messages together. Either appears when a fault or error has been detected, and the published instruction is to press the Cancel button or pad to reset. If Call Service is still displayed after pressing Cancel, the next step is to reset power to the product and start a bake cycle.
Common Causes of Call Service or Press Cancel to Reset

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Press Cancel first and see whether the message clears. If it does and a bake cycle runs normally, the fault was transient. If Call Service persists, switch the range off at its breaker for a minute, restore power and start a bake cycle, which is exactly the published sequence. If the message returns a third time, it is doing what its name says and the range needs a diagnosis - note whether the oven heats, whether the cooktop works, and when the message appears.
