What F2 Means
On the legacy platform F2 is published as a possible problem with the oven temperature sensor, the control, or the associated wiring. It is worth noting that F2 means something quite different on the newer F#E# platform, so identifying which code scheme your range uses matters before reading anything into it.

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Press Cancel to clear the code, then cut power at the breaker for a minute, restore it, and start a bake cycle to see whether the code returns. With the oven cool, check the sensor probe in the cavity is secure and clear of the wall. If the code persists, the sensor circuit needs a meter test. Before booking, check how your range displays codes generally - a range that shows F2 E1 style codes is on the newer platform, where the same leading digit points at the keypad instead of the sensor.

- A range is wired to a high-current circuit, and the control is behind a panel with live terminals.
- The sensor connector is behind the rear panel of a mains-connected range.
