The work on a Maytag dishwasher follows the water. On the way in: the inlet valve, the float and its switch, the fill logic on the control. On the way out: the filter, the sump, the drain pump, the check valve and the hose run up to the sink or disposer connection. In between: the circulation pump, the diverter, the spray arms and the heating circuit that decides whether a load comes out clean and dry or merely wet.
We isolate the machine at the breaker and shut the supply before anything comes apart, then test rather than guess – because a blocked filter, a kinked hose and a failed pump all present as standing water, and only one of those is a paid repair. You get told which one it is, in plain terms, along with the price, before anything is replaced.
Common Dishwasher Problems
Standing water left in the base at the end of a cycle
Dishes coming out gritty or still soiled
Loads finishing wet when the drying option was selected
Water escaping past the door and onto the floor
Cycle stopping early, or refusing to start at all
Grinding or buzzing during what should be the wash

Why Trust Us With Your Maytag Dishwasher
- Measured, Not Guessed | The suspect dishwasher component goes on a meter and is shown to have failed before we recommend replacing it.
- Common dishwasher Parts Aboard | The parts that fail most often travel with the technician; anything rarer is ordered on the spot and the return visit booked before we leave.
- Isolated Before Anything Opens | The supply to your dishwasher - power, water or gas - is shut off and proven dead before a panel moves, and high-voltage and sealed-system circuits stay with the technician.
- Coverage Checked First | Where your dishwasher looks like it may still sit inside manufacturer coverage we flag it before quoting, because work by anyone other than an authorized technician can put that coverage at risk.
